Ekiti Youth Parliament Speaker Commends Governor Fayemi over CBN Rice Anchor Borrowers Programme Initiative, Appeals for Youth Involvement

The Speaker of the Ekiti Youth Parliament, EYP, Rt. Hon Toba Fatunla, who also doubles as the Chairman, Conference of States Youth Parliament Speakers in Nigeria, CSYPSN, in a special press release has commended the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr John Kayode Fayemi for the laudable Rice Anchor Borrowers Programme initiated and launched in Ekiti State earlier today.
While urging the handlers of the programme to make it youth-centred, Hon. Fatunla noted that it will help solve issues of unemployment partly in the state.
"This kind of unique programme will solve the challenge of hunger, tilt Ekiti State to the part of self-reliance and sustain the economy of the State. This initiative along with the Ikun Dairy Farm will be beneficial to the youths and the general populace in Ekiti. We must be careful to ensure this opportunities are given to the youths because of our energy, drive and commitment to change the landscape positively. I have always maintained that Ekiti Youths are not lazy, they only need right opportunities to express their potentials. The youths to be engaged must be monitored and supervised to ensure maximum productivity, while they learn from time to time the technological innovations to up their skills as at when due", the Youth Speaker said.
He charged youths in the state to make judicious use of all the Windows of opportunities provided by the Governor and his team.
Similarly, the Speaker commended the Commissioner for Agriculture, Prince Olabode Adetoyi for being proactive, smart and coordinated.
He promised to work with the commissioner alongside other youth organs in the state to ensure the youths are meaningfully engaged through available initiative.
