FUOYESU STAKEHOLDERS MEETING ENDED IN ABRUPT CHAOS OVER CARETAKER COMMITTEE DELEGATION.

The FUOYESU stakeholders meeting, held today, ended in abrupt chaos as a result of issues relating to the student Union caretaker committee delegation. Comrade Awe, a member of the SRC, representing the department of demography and social statistics starred up the argument, which hit the wrong cord in the acclaimed faculty Presidents, who also happens to be members of the SUG caretaker committee. He laid claim that a larger number of the current SUG caretaker committee members are Presidents of various faculties in the school, hence, becoming unconstitutional for them to hold two different executive portfolios at the same time, or better still, resign from the former post and handover immediately to their vice Presidents, if they should continue with the current appointment. The faculty Presidents therefore discredited the claim, owing to the fact that their current appointment was through delegation, and not through electoral activities. FUOYESU TO ORGANIZE A WALK IN HONOUR OF THE SEPTEMBER-10 LOST HEROES.

The caretaker committee, recently set up by the management to oversee the activities of the Student Union, under the leadership of the former student representative council speaker, Comrade Tope Anifowose, today concluded plans to organize a WALK tagged BLACK TUESDAY, in honour of the comrades, who lost their live in the recent September 10 bloody protest against poor power supply in the university community. The decision was finalised at the stakeholders meeting today, with the view to idolize the great heroes; Late Joseph Icon and late Dada Kehinde, for future reference and gratification. The program is therefore scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 26th of November, 2019, between the early hours of seven and eight in the morning, within the university environment. According to the President, the management is expected to join the walk, to jointly give last respect to the great heroes, as well as allocating a space for the Union, where the names of the two giants would be inscribed ...
