TRAGEDY HITS FUOYE OVER THE DEATH OF LECTURER. _FMCT report_

Tragedy struck yesterday at the federal university, Oye-Ekiti, Ikole Campus, as a Lecturer, Engr O. D. Komolafe from the department of Mechanical Engineering was confirmed dead. Information has it that the deceased had been battling with different health challenges, which later resulted to his death. According to Fuoyesu General Secretary, Comrade Mohammed Ilyas, he said that engineer Komolafe has been absent from school for some time now due to health issues. He described his death as sardonic and a great loss for every inhabitants of Ikole Campus. "All Engineering students are going to miss him. He was a great teacher, mentor and father to many. May God give him eternal rest and give the family the strength to bear the great pain", he added. In lieu of that, all academic activities have been cancelled for today, in honor of the deceased lecturer. May God give the deceased family fortitude to assail the rigour. Amen.

FUSOSSA STAKEHOLDERS' MEETING ENDED INCONCLUSIVE, ASPIRANTS LOSSES FACULTY SUPPORT.

By Olafare Peter Oluwatosin The FUSOSSA stakeholders meeting, held earlier today to put an end to the lingering power tussles amongst aspirants in the forthcoming FUOYESU election has ended inconclusive. The meeting was organized by the fusossa executives, having all stakeholders present, coupled with all aspirants vying for various posts at the SUG level. Questions were thrown at dual aspirants vying for a single post in other to unravel the reasons and motives behind their intentions. After all said and done, all efforts to resolve the issue ended in total futility, as none of the aspirants had the intention of stepping down, hence, leaving the whole house with no other option than to allow aspirants go to the battle field. Acclaimed cult members, at the late hours of yesterday, attacked some FUOYE students, leaving at least two injured. The incident happened at passion unisex saloon, located along school road, before sawmill junction, where students were charging their various gadgets. Abimbola Shadrach, a member of the FMCT and also one of the victims, reported that two guys were putting on a combination of yellow and black outfit, which infuriated two confraternity guys, hence, unleashing their anger through beating. "It was indeed a tensed moment. After the beating, a guy at the barbing saloon challenged them. They got angry and also beat him up at the same spot.
