THE REALITIES OF HUMAN EXISTENCE

Life is all about struggle and survival
We never know what will happen next
Everyone goes about his/her daily businesses
It turns around so quickly
That’s why life is a subtly drizzle
With strong wind or a friendly breeze;
Hard rain and a little drizzle,
Flaring rays of the sun or cool moonlight.
All fingers are not equal
We come,
We go,
We toil,
We arrived,
And we vacate from the world.
In this limited time, we live,
Amidst Birth and Death.

The above poem depicts human life struggles, survival, and interaction, in the quest for daily needs. Life itself, isn't on bed of roses. It's full of ups and downs.

The concept of social stratification has indeed corroborated the claim that all fingers aren't equal, which is dependent on people's socio-economic status, hence defining their lives and overall existence.

Human daily needs are met through interaction. No man can live in isolation. The quality of life people live is determined by the potency of their interactions, coupled with the kind of people they relate with.

The tragic reality of human existence is that only a very few individuals are lucky enough to find the purpose for which they were born. All the rest have to do with some sort of palliative. At best, they find solace in their children, hoping that maybe the next generation will do something more sensible with their lives.

Finding one’s own path is the most important thing for anyone. I am profoundly convinced that every individual possesses a unique talent, everyone is endowed with a divine gift.

Fate has decreed that the circumstances of life themselves nudge individuals towards the correct choice of path.

However, Human beings in today’s world must make an effort to opt for collective endeavors to ensure their survival on the planet earth.

Though, the negative competition among individuals has isolated them to a large extent. Everyone, nowadays, is lost in his own world and does not easily associate with others.

This has led to societies having more discontentment and hatred. Adopting the togetherness principles in animals, human beings can strengthen their mutual cooperation in their fight for survival, and meeting daily needs.

Mind you, that doesn't connote that you should be lazy. Expectations hurt so much. Life wasn't meant to be lived freely, full of unrealistic expectations. If you desire something, make sure that you work hard enough to turn that into a reality sooner or later all by yourself.

The climax of it all is the inevitability of Death. After toiling and labouring, human dies and go back to the creator to give account of everything done on the planet earth.

  1. 'Struggle' and 'Survival' are two major life concept that occupies the period between "Birth" and "Death" of human existence. Self discovery and development i belief will help in regulating these two concept to the advantage of the carrier.

This Poem is quiet educating and liberating.

    Kudos!

CITIZENS’ RIGHT AND POLICE INJUSTICE IN NIGERIA

By: Ebo Emmanuel             Police Injustice mostly used to refer to various human rights violations by police which might include beatings, racial abuse, unlawful killings, torture, or indiscriminate use of riot control agents at protests. At its worst, unlawful use of force by police can result in people being deprived of their right to life. If police force is unnecessary or excessive, it may also amount to torture or other ill-treatment. Unlawful force by police can also violate the right to be free from discrimination, the right to liberty and security, and the right to equal protection under the law.           In countries with high rates of killings by police, there is often a combination of factors including inadequate laws, racial or other forms of discrimination, insecurity or conflict, and entrenched impunity. Governments who routinely trample on other human rights like freedom of expression and peaceful assembly often a...

Engnr Segun Oni By: Williams Esan A former Governor of Ekiti State, Engnr. The Elder Statesman made the disclosure while hosting the peoples' democratic party, PDP leaders across the state, at his residence in Ifaki-Ekiti. Engnr.
