The caretaker committee, recently set up by the management to oversee the activities of the Student Union, under the leadership of the former student representative council speaker, Comrade Tope Anifowose, today concluded plans to organize a WALK tagged BLACK TUESDAY, in honour of the comrades, who lost their live in the recent September 10 bloody protest against poor power supply in the university community.
The decision was finalised at the stakeholders meeting today, with the view to idolize the great heroes; Late Joseph Icon and late Dada Kehinde, for future reference and gratification.
The program is therefore scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 26th of November, 2019, between the early hours of seven and eight in the morning, within the university environment.
According to the President, the management is expected to join the walk, to jointly give last respect to the great heroes, as well as allocating a space for the Union, where the names of the two giants would be inscribed for future reference and remembrance.
Meanwhile, all students are enjoined to appear on black, as the period would be solely dedicated to total sobriety.
