By Olafare Peter Oluwatosin

The FUSOSSA stakeholders meeting, held earlier today to put an end to the lingering power tussles amongst aspirants in the forthcoming FUOYESU election has ended inconclusive.

The meeting was organized by the fusossa executives, having all stakeholders present, coupled with all aspirants vying for various posts at the SUG level.

Questions were thrown at dual aspirants vying for a single post in other to unravel the reasons and motives behind their intentions.

After all said and done, all efforts to resolve the issue ended in total futility, as none of the aspirants had the intention of stepping down, hence, leaving the whole house with no other option than to allow aspirants go to the battle field.

Speaking in an interview after the meeting, the public relations officer of the faculty, Comrade Adekunle Eyitayo said that the faculty has withdrew her support, hence, leaving her members to support any candidate of their choice, since the aspirants refused to adopt the principle of linear candidacy.

"We've tried our possible best to proffer solutions to the issue, but the aspirants in question ain't giving room for any positive resolution.

Some proposed that a primary election be conducted for affected aspirants, while majority kicked against it.

Now, we are left with no option than to allow them go to the field to play their games. Whosoever the cap fits, let him wear", he said.

However, some of the affected aspirants have promised to resolve all issues within the shortest time possible, so as to relief the faculty of unnecessary confusion, which may impede the overall Success of the faculty in the SUG election.

Governments who routinely trample on other human rights like freedom of expression and peaceful assembly often a...
