The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has kicked against the results as announced by the Independent National Electoral (INEC) for the Saturday Presidential election. The INEC Wednesday morning declared incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress APC as Nigeria’s President-elect having polled the highest number of votes in last Saturday’s Presidential election. Ahead of tomorrow’s Presidential and National Assembly election, Organised Labour yesterday warned security agencies that President Muhammadu Buhari’s order to deal summarily with ballot snatchers or arsonists was not a license to kill, but intended to deter trouble makers. The people of Ayegbaju Ekiti in the Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti State staged a violent protest over the alleged killing of a farmer , Elijah Ogor, by suspected herdsmen . The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Ogor, in his 30s hailed from Benue State but was residing in Ekiti, where he engaged in farming. Economic Community of West African States has deployed 200 election observers across the six geopolitical zones of the country ahead of Saturday’s presidential and national assembly elections. This was made known at a briefing by the ECOWAS Election Observation Mission to Nigeria on Thursday in Abuja. The ECOWAS Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, Gen. Francis Behanzin, noted that a pre-election fact-finding mission had been to Nigeria in November 2018 ahead of the elections.
